Nissan to Sell First Joint Minicar to Expand in Japan Market

Nissan Motor Co. will start selling its first minicar jointly developed with Mitsubishi Motors Corp. in Japan next month amid increasing demand for smaller, cheaper vehicles.

Nissan began production of the minicarBloomberg Terminal at Mitsubishi’s Mizushima plant in Okayama prefecture today, the companies said in a statement. The model will be sold as the Nissan DAYZ and Mitsubishi eK Wagon starting in June.
