U.S. Drops Terrorism Finance Sanctions on Saudi al-Qadi

The U.S. scrapped sanctions against a Saudi national it listed as a terrorism financier in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Yasin al-Qadi, 59, was removed today from a list of people designated for counter-terrorism sanctions, according to documents released by the Treasury Department and its Office of Foreign Assets Control.
