Ivanhoe Buys NYC Tower From Blackstone for $2.2 Billion

An Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc. venture completed the acquisition of a Manhattan tower from Blackstone Group LP for $2.2 billion, the largest transaction for a single U.S. office building since 2008.

Ivanhoe Cambridge, the real estate arm of Canadian pension fund Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, and Callahan Capital Properties announced the acquisition of 1095 Avenue of the Americas on Bryant Park in a statementBloomberg Terminal Friday. The investors signed a contract to buy the property in November, two people with knowledge of the deal said at the time.
