There’s a technique politicians use when dealing with a difficult interviewer, giving very long answers in an effort to run down the clock. In a first for British politics, Ed Miliband found his interviewer was trying to talk him out.

Russell Brand, the comedian, film star and wannabe revolutionary, was interviewing the leader of the Labour Party. This was broadcast for “The Trews,” his YouTube channel. Miliband’s answers were variations on his standard speech lines: politics can change things, Britain can do better, vote Labour.
