BNP Paribas Names Michel Head of Middle East, Africa Banking

BNP Paribas SA named Jacques Michel head of corporate and institutional banking for the Middle East and Africa.
Michel will be based in Bahrain and replaces Jean-Christophe Durand who left the bank, according to an e-mailed statement, which didn’t give a reason for Durand’s departure. Michel has been country head for India since December 2009 and was previously deputy chief executive officer for Fortis Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong, BNP Paribas said.
