Peru kept borrowing costs unchanged for a fifth straight month as a slide in the sol and rising inflation constrain policy makers’ efforts to stimulate domestic demand.

The central bank board, led by President Julio Velarde, maintained the overnight rate at 3.25 percent, matching the forecasts of all 20 economists surveyed by Bloomberg.
