Islamic State militants destroyed parts of an ancient stone ruin in Palmyra, days after using explosives to blow up another temple in the historic city, said a rights group monitoring the Syrian conflict.

The jihadist group destroyed parts of the Temple of Bel on Sunday, the U.K.-based Observatory for Human Rights said in an e-mailed statement, citing contacts from within the city that it didn’t identify.
