Alberta’s New Democratic Party cabinet will be announced May 24 in Edmonton, with climate-change policy and an energy royalties review high on the agenda.

Rachel Notley, leader of the left-leaning party that won a majority government on May 5, will hold her first cabinet meeting as premier next Wednesday, recall the Legislature in June and present a full budget in the fall. Her cabinet’s first briefing will be on the “state of the economy,” Notley said in a press conference.
