The U.S. military has sent Congress a $36 billion wish list for equipment and operations that aren’t in the Pentagon’s official budget for the coming fiscal year.

The list, compiled by the military services at the request of the House Armed Services Committee, was obtained today by Bloomberg News. The Army sought $10.6 billion more than the Pentagon’s proposed budget for fiscal 2015, followed by the Navy’s $10 billion and the Air Force’s $8 billion.
