Amazon, Netflix to Gain Share of German Online Video Market

ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, the owner of the biggest video-on-demand service in Germany, expects its leadership to be eroded by Netflix Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. even as the market expands.

“It’s going to be Amazon, Netflix and us left a few years from now,” Christian Wegner, Munich-based ProSiebenSat.1’s head of digital, said an in interview yesterday. “We’re happy to give up some market share if it means the market grows.”
