New Jersey Rejects Fishermen’s Proposal for Offshore Wind Farm

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities rejected, again, a proposed offshore wind farm, saying the Fishermen’s Energy LLC project “does not demonstrate financial integrity.”

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed the Offshore Wind Economic Development Act in 2010 to promote the development of marine wind power. The state does not have any such projects in operation nor have any been approved.
