Here’s Why High-End Dress Shirts Are Worth $465

Meet Emma Willis, who has been specializing in high-quality British shirtmaking since 1989 and is regarded as one of the best at continuing the use of traditionally English techniques. Photographs by Chris Ratcliffe/Bloomberg

Willis, who is also the first and only female bespoke shirtmaker with a storefront on London’s storied Jermyn Street, counts both actor Daniel Craig and the British model David Gandy as clients. We caught up with Willis and her team of highly skilled cutters and seamstresses at her factory in Gloucester, England, to have her talk us through her impeccably designed and structured process.
