Google Inc. forged an agreement to buy power from a new onshore wind park in Norway that’s supplied with Siemens AG turbines and financed by Blackrock Inc.

Construction on the 160-megawatt Rogaland wind park near Stavanger begins this month and will deliver power for Google’s European data centers when completed next year, according to an e-mail from Siemens. The Munich-based company will supply 50 direct-drive SWT turbines each of 3.2 megawatts to project developers Zephyr A/S and Norsk Vind Energi A/S.
