Amazon.com Inc. agreed to buy power from a 253-megawatt wind farm that Lincoln Clean Energy LLC is developing in west Texas, the retailer’s largest clean-energy project to date.
The development in Scurry County is scheduled to be operational in late 2017, Amazon said in a statement Thursday. It will include more than 100 turbines and will produce enough power almost 90,000 U.S. homes.
