Is your office one of those where things don't get more exciting than Janet in accounts offering to make everyone a cup of tea?

Well, it seems, it doesn't have to be like this as there are all sorts of seriously cool offices dotted around the city which look so much fun we can't work out how any work ever gets done.

Facebook recently announced the creation of 1,000 new roles in London over the course of this year, taking its UK workforce to more than 4,000.

And it got us thinking about what it must be like to work for one of these corporate giants.

All that money and power must make for some seriously cool work spaces!

So we decided to take a look at some of London's coolest offices that you could ever hope to work in.

1. Facebook

While many newbies will end up working at a huge new site being constructed in King’s Cross, Facebook’s existing offices on Rathbone Place and Brock Street give us a glimpse of the perks that can be expected when working for this global tech-giant.

We spoke to Abbie Meakin, a senior digital marketing associate, who visited Facebook’s Partner Centre on Brock Street last year.

While walls of sweets, vibrant snack counters, lunch for staff and endless drinks (all for free) already make these offices sound pretty heavenly, Abbie’s favourite part came before she’d even entered the work space.

She explained: "When you arrive, you are encouraged to flick an emoji onto the wall that represents how you feel. This was my favourite bit, as you can see what the vibe is in the office each day.

"Visiting the offices was an incredible experience, and seeing how they have adapted features from Facebook into their everyday business was really cool.

"I would definitely recommend a trip to these offices!"

2. Ticketmaster

The world’s master of ticket sales may keep its main headquarters in Hollywood, but it has certainly brought sophistication and style to its British base in Angel.

The company explained that the international head office was designed "specifically for boosting creativity and encouraging socialising".

As a result it comes fully equipped with picnic-style seating areas, pool and football tables, board games, and a projector where staff can watch live summer sports and festive films.

But the fun really begins after office hours, when employees can (quite literally) slide down into the basement bar. Once there you can select a tune on the jukebox, play a game of pinball or maybe just have another go on the slide!

If workers are feeling a little rundown after all that socialising, they can head to the fitness studio for a boxercise class, a touch of yoga or even a 20-minute massage.

Is this perhaps the dream place to work? We think so!

3. Mind Candy

Mind Candy's offices are designed to appeal to the inner-child in everyone

When Gene Wilder donned his top hat and cane in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and sang to us about a "world of pure imagination", we think he may have actually been referring to the tranquil haven that is the Mind Candy office.

Step away from the hustle and bustle of Old Street, and into the enchanting world of kids' characters, Moshi Monsters.

Artificial grass floors, ping-pong tables and a charming tree-house meeting room immediately take you back to childhood, giving a sense of adventure that - for some lucky workers - is everyday life in the office!

4. The Walkie Talkie

What could be better than an artificial patch of grass in your office? Only, of course, the real thing!

Many may assume that the bankers and brokers of the City are constantly trapped in the colossal buildings that make up the London skyline. But hidden in the depths of the concrete jungle is, in fact, an entire jungle in its own right.

Head to 20 Fenchurch Street and up to the 43rd floor, where you will find the famous Sky Garden – an enlarged glass dome dedicating three storeys to exquisite gardens and panoramic views of London.

Paul Sankey, an insurance underwriter, certainly thinks The Sky Garden is the best part about working in what locals will know as the Walkie Talkie.

He said: "There’s not many offices that provide 360 degree views of the city, not to mention a beautiful garden to wander around at lunchtimes!"

Drinks at the bar and food in the restaurant may be on the pricier side, but entry is absolutely free. So, go and check it out for yourself!

5. Mother

Straighten your tie, tuck in your top and make sure you’re looking spick and span for your visit to Mother, as you’ll be greeted by multiple mums in framed photos on your arrival!

It is the mothers of employees that adorn the walls of this former biscuit warehouse – beautifying the workplace, and encouraging staff to do their best in all tasks.

A spokesperson from Mother said: "Our office is our home, so we like everyone to feel welcome when they come and visit.

"From a friendly hello and homemade cakes through to a space that’s designed to feel warm, and there’s usually a few dogs in the office, who are all very well behaved."

While the thought of our mothers constantly watching us may be slightly terrifying – we admire the effort to motivate. And, besides, who can say no to a dog-friendly workspace?

6. Bloomberg

If you’re looking for an office experience that will transport you approximately 50 years into the future, head to the Bloomberg offices in the heart of the City of London.

You’ll immediately be sucked into The Vortex, the gigantic timber structure that makes up the office's lobby, before being sucked into a vortex of time. You could spend quite literally hours wandering round Bloomberg’s European headquarters – and for many good reasons.

Staff won’t expect anything but the best while working in these offices, whether it’s admiring the dome of St Paul’s from the building’s central pantry, or views of the City skyline from the Walbrook Dining Room. A "living wall" also adds life to the workspace, not to mention vibrantly lit fish-tanks.

There’s not many offices where you can say you can use the bathroom and save the world at the same time, but the use of rainwater recycling to power vacuum-flush toilets, breathable fins on the building and bees on the roof make this one of the world’s most sustainable major office developments.

When employees are done making the most of their gigantic newsroom and state-of-the-art television studio, they are free to head out to the Bloomberg Arcade – a pedestrianised boulevard filled with independent restaurants, public art, concerts and sport screenings.

And, last but not least, we have the London Mithraeum. Beneath the Bloomberg building you will find an ancient Roman temple brought to life by a light and sound installation, finished off with a contemporary art gallery, Bloomberg SPACE.

When we said transported to the future, we really meant it. Any chance of moving in?
